“Refresh”
Therefore we were buried with Him
through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the
glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. Romans 6:4 (NKJV)
“Refresh”
means to update the same page – make the old new.
Following scores or reading emails or checking
Facebook or twitter. You click on that
little circle that ends in a arrow and presto –everything updates. Same page but everything is new and fresh… up
to date.
Don’t you wish you could do that with your life? Not
ditch your life or your relationships or your setting. But just refresh
everything. Same page in life but fresh
everything.
When things become stale and worn out, you can
REFRESH.

Future
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is
a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. II Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV)
Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins
may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of
the Lord, Acts 3:19 (NKJV)
1 I am the man who has seen
affliction by the rod of the Lord’s wrath. 2 He has driven me away and
made me walk in darkness rather than light; 3 indeed, he has
turned his hand against me again and again, all day long. Lamentations 3:1-3 (NIV)
19 I remember my affliction
and my wandering, the bitterness and the gall.
20 I well remember them, and my soul is downcast within
me. 21 Yet this I call
to mind and therefore I have hope: 22 Because
of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his
compassions never fail. 23 They
are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. 24 I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.” 25 The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; 26 it
is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord. Lamentations 3:19-26 (NIV)

SPIRIT-LED BIBLE READING
The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple. Psalm 19:7 (NIV)
Your
words were found, and I ate them, And Your
word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart; For I am called by Your name,
O Lord God of hosts. Jeremiah 15:16 (NKJV)
3.
WORSHIP
Then the Lord
God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the
breath of life, and the man became a living being. Genesis 2:7 (NKJV)
Yet You are holy, O You who are
enthroned upon the praises of Israel. Psalm 22:3 (NASB)
"Gypsy, I
heard you preach . . . over fifty years ago--my how you blessed my heart then.
I have never forgotten it--but again tonight, how my heart was warmed and
thrilled! Gypsy, tell me--what's the secret?" Gypsy answered, "Sir, I have
never lost the wonder of it all."
