Always More

"One Year Bible" New Testament Passage
I Corinthians 2:6-3:4

9 But, as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” 10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.  I Corinthians 2:9-10 (NKJV)

Perhaps the greatest discovery of the Christian life is that there is ALWAYS MORE. There is always more that the Lord wants to give you, to show you, to teach you. It is like standing at the edge of the Pacific Ocean. There are always higher heights and deeper depths that He has for us.

We ought never to stop growing. We ought always to be reaching forth for more of God. We are propelled forward by a hunger to know Him more fully -- to attain unto those things He has prepared for us.

This is one of the reasons we need the ministry of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit does come simply to make us feel better or to give us wonderful experiences. He come to take us somewhere! He comes to show us things that otherwise we could never find. He shows us the depths of God's great plan and purpose.

So, we ought to daily ask to be filled with the Holy Spirit. We ought to daily seek to receive more of His power and grace. This is the pathway to fullness. "Lord, fill me today with the precious Holy Spirit."
